Academic Advising

Students are required to consult with
their academic advisor each semester
prior to scheduling classes.
Visit with your academic advisor to
discuss your program of study and to
select courses for the upcoming
semester. During your advising session
an advisor will assist you in creating a
degree plan for your course of study
that will define the courses for which
you should register. Advisors can
also assist with career advice related
to your major field.
For most e-learning students advising
sessions take place either by telephone
or email. It is recommend that you
email your advisor to schedule a
telephone advising session. All
students must consult with their advisor
each semester before they are granted
clearance to enroll in courses through
myLSUE. Students can find their
assigned advisor's name and contact
information on their customized myLSUE
Welcome page.
Registration
Students can
register for classes by logging on to
my.lsue.edu
and clicking the "Registration" tab on
their custom welcome page. A myLSUE
user ID
and password is provided in the
acceptance letter sent by the Office of
Admissions.
During an advising session your advisor
will make notes on an electronic
worksheet to record the items discussed
including the courses they recommend you
take during that semester as well as any
special recommendations they might make.
This information is summarized for your
convenience on the top of the
registration page.
